Perfume: Outdoor, Tick -ed Off Repellant and Bite Antiseptic

Price: $15.00
Blend: Tick Repellant and Bite Antiseptic

A ready to use evidence-based blend of essential oils in witch hazel, alcohol and jojoba oil that I created both as a repellent and as a treatment once you have removed a tick.

100mL in your choice of blue glass or aluminum spray bottle.

TICKS WILL PHYSICALLY DISTANCE FROM YOU.

I've selected essential oils that work synergistically in effective concentrations that has been shown in studies to be as, or more, effective at keeping ticks away as DEET.

Made with proven natural ingredients, this outdoor perfume is safe for the whole family, plus the family dog (BUT NOT THE CAT) and smells good enough to use just for fun! The essential oils perform as well as or better than commercial chemical insect repellents against mosquitoes, ticks & various pesky flies.

LEMON EUCALYPTUS "In special cases, where environmental exposures to disease-transmitting ticks, biting midges, sandflies, or blackflies are anticipated, topical insect repellents containing IR3535, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus (p-menthane-3, 8-diol or PMD) would offer better topical protection than topical DEET alone." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26827259/

OREGANO AND SPEARMINT "The results suggest that 5% oregano and spearmint oils exhibit potential as natural clothing repellents, with an effective equivalence to 20% DEET." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31578646/

GERANIUM "The evaluation of 10 essential oils of geranium, Pelargonium graveolens (Geraniaceae), were all shown to have repellent activity against nymphs of the medically important lone star tick, Amblyomma americanum (L.). "
