What are the rates for Evening, 2-hour Intro Workshops?

ONE PARTICIPANT The rate is $60, representing $10 MATERIALS FEE plus $50 TUITION.

BRING-A-FRIEND 2 PARTICIPANTS The rate is $100, representing $10 MATERIALS FEE each plus $40 TUITION each.

What are the rates for Full Day, 6-hour Workshops?

RATES PER 6 HOUR WORKSHOP including lunch + materials:
$225 plus HST Regular Rate
$200 per person + HST 7 days in Advance, Prepaid Discount Rate
$175 per person/workshop + HST (select $350) when you register & pre-pay for two full-day workshops, or sign up with a friend for the same workshop. 2-For, 7 days in Advance, Prepaid, Discount Rate

$50 Materials Fee, included in the costs above, is NON REFUNDABLE. The remaining credits can be transferred to another date with a minimum of 7 days' notice. With less than 7 days' full days notice, the entire workshop fee paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you can't attend, consider sending someone in your place and let me know before the workshop the name and email of the person who is coming.

GROUP RATE PER PARTICIPANT The rate is $30, representing $10+HST MATERIALS FEE each plus $20 TUITION each. If you are registering more than two people at once for a scheduled workshop, please contact me for the $30 rate. Please contact me to arrange your PRIVATE GROUP WORKSHOP.

HST (tax) applies to all Workshop Fees. When you send an etransfer, make sure you send the full amount calculated on your order.

$10 Materials Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE but can be transferred to another date with a minimum of 7 days' notice. What can I do if I don't have the full Workshop Fee?

* If you have more time than money, then you may contact me to apply for WORK EXCHANGE. If we agree to this, you register by paying the non-refundable MATERIALS FEE of $50 for a 6-hour, and $10 for a 2-hour workshop, and Work Exchange of 4 hours for a 2-hour workshop, and 12 hours for a 6-hour workshop. The work must be completed, and the materials fee paid at least a week before the date of the workshop. Work Exchange hours are not compensated if incomplete, or if you do not attend the workshop.

* I offer monthly DIY Workshops open to the public by registration at Karma Food Coop with a materials fee of $10 and free tuition.

What payment methods do you accept?

You are not registered until you pay. To take advantage of the prepaid discount rates you must pay in full at least 7 days in advance. You can pay:
* Immediately, or at any time, through PAYPAL to AnarresHealth AT gmail DOT com. You can use any card through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account.
* In PERSON by cash, cheque, debit or credit card. Please contact me at AnarresHealth AT gmail DOT com to make payments in person.
* By ETRANSFER to AnarresHealth AT gmail DOT com . Please spell Anarres correctly with one N and two RRs. Your transfer will be automatically deposited without the need for a secret question and answer. You have not registered until I have received your payment!
* By MAIL cheque or money order. Please contact me at AnarresHealth AT gmail DOT com to make payments by mail.

RECEIPTS

HST 13% is applied when you check out. Donations will not be taxed. Your receipt is automatically emailed to you by this website. Be sure to mark AnarresHealth.ca as SAFE.

REGISTRATION ORDERS THAT ARE INCOMPLETE OR UNPAID

If I haven't received your payment or your registration order was Stopped In Checkout, I won't be sure if you are coming. Please DO call or email me if you have any trouble with registering or paying. Please DO register online, but if you can't please call me and ask me to register you in Anarres' system. I'll need your name, address, and phone number. If I don't receive your payment 7 days in advance, you will be charged the regular rate on arrival: $225 + HST even if you put in an order a week or more ahead of time. If your payment arrives late, you will need to pay the difference on arrival.

REFUNDS

Workshop payments are only refunded in the rare event that I cancel the workshop and you cannot attend any new date. I will reschedule the canceled workshop, and find a time and date that works for you. There are no other circumstances where you can be refunded for a workshop you have registered for.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER WORKSHOP DATE

* In the unhappy event that you've preregistered for a workshop, but are unable to attend, I can, at my discretion transfer your credits to another date minus the Materials Fee, when you give me a minimum of 7 days' notice by email.

* The $50 or $10 Materials Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

* The remaining credits can be transferred to another date with a minimum of 7 days' notice. With less than 7 days' days notice, the entire workshop fee paid is non-refundable and non-transferable.

* If you can't attend, consider sending someone in your place and let me know before the workshop the name and email of the person who is coming.

IF YOU ARRIVE LATE

Please call ASAP if you know you will be arriving late to any event or workshop. Depending on the location, I may or may not be able to admit you if you arrive late. You must be on time to attend workshops at Anarres Studio. Even if you call, I will not be able to interrupt the workshop to admit you to this location.

BUT IF I DIDN'T COME, THEN I DIDN'T USE THE MATERIALS, SO WHY CAN'T YOU REFUND ME?

When I schedule a workshop, I set aside the time, order in all of the supplies, book the space, prepare the materials, promote the workshop online and in handbills, etc. By the day of the workshop, I have already put a lot of time, money, and energy into the workshop for you. Preparing for the workshop and cleaning up afterward takes at least as long as the duration of the workshop!

To make it cost-effective I need a minimum number of participants booked and present. This not only helps cover costs, and hopefully compensates me - but the planned number of participants rounds out the experience for everyone. Your absence means someone else missed a chance to attend. Last but not least, any change results in administrative work for me. Please ensure you can attend and make a reminder for yourself in your calendar.

If you register but do not show up, your entire workshop fees are non-refundable.

CAN I GET A DISCOUNT IF I DON'T WANT THE INCLUDED REFRESHMENTS OR LUNCH?
No. I may offer tea, purified water, and/or coffee for everyone, in part because I have a Zero Waste practice and don't want people to bring in single-use cups, etc. For 6-hour workshops, I make lunch as well and don't want people to bring in all the single-use containers that take-out entails. There are other reasons, too. For instance, I typically allow 30 minutes for lunch, not enough time for many people to get their food elsewhere, eat it, and return.

WHAT DO YOU SERVE FOR REFRESHMENTS AND LUNCHES?
We serve a variety of teas. The peppermint and lemon balm is usually organically grown a block away. Most tea is from organically grown herbs. The black and green teas are fairly traded, and so is the coffee.

For lunches, I prepare a vegan, Halal, and Kosher bean soup or stew using Ontario, or Canadian organically grown pulses to which I add only purified water, organic vegetables, and often smoked sea salt.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PERSON
You can transfer your registration at any time to another person who attends the workshop you are registered for. Please let me know their name and email address ahead of time.
